  AIILSG in Collaboration with All India Institute of Local Self-Government Nagaon Skill Center under Skill India, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Koushalya Yojana(DDU-GKY).
  DDU - GKY is a Government Of India youth employment scheme. It was launched on 25 September 2014 by Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari and Venkaiah Naidu on the occasion of 98th birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.It aims at developing and implementing skill development programs across Assam. DDU-GKY is called the Father of skill because it is fully transparent, it keeps Audio Vedio Recording clips of the on going classes.It is one of the cluster of initiatives of the Ministry Of Rural Development, Government Of India that seeks to promote rural livelihoods.DDU - GKY aims to skill rural youth who are poor and provide them with jobs having regular monthly wages or above the minimum wages. Details of Courses:-

SMO ( Sewing Machine Operator ) 60 Days.

Objectives of the Course :- SMO is our course name, where from 18 to 35 age of candidates are trained and the duration time required for training is 60 days. For providing training 35 candidates are required in each batch after that the training will proceed. In this 60 days of training , candidates learn how to stich clothes, feshion designing, measuring etc.which is trained by domain trainer .There are two class for SMO, one is practical class and another one is theory class. Domain Trainer help trainees in making Shirt, T- Shirt, Blouse, Skirt, Frok etc. In these 60 days of training apart from SMO, Soft skills cum English and IT class is also provided where they learn many things. Soft skills cum English class help candidates in improving their personality. Main focus of soft skills class is to improve grooming of the candidates and also help them to become Independent. IT (Information Technology) class is also provided where candidates learn how to use computer. IT trainer help candidates in learning many things like ( MS Word, Excel , PPT, Mailing, how to make effective report)etc. Main objective of the course is to placed trainees after completion of training, which help trainees to become self Independent.

Eligibility :- 8 th  Pass and Min. age of 18years.

Achievement:
After getting trained as Sewing Machine Operator under a centre of #DDUGKY, they got placed at # SCM Garments Pvt Ltd. Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. They are now stitching doctor's
#PPEKit. Students say " Not being a medical assistant we got upset but being Tailor we got opportunity to stitch suits for the medical servers and fight against # Covid 19. In this way they are our # COVIDWARRIORS.
