Project Details:

AIILSG undertaking many assessment works which are done under state authority for collecting database from all 162 Municipalities and 8 Municipal Corporation. Here identical work has been given by Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GUDM) to Center for Water and Sanitation (C-WAS), CEPT University and we are providing them consultancy services for collection of Urban Water Supply, Sanitation & Solid Waste Management inGujarat for initiating the 14thFinance Commission Grant provided by GMFB.

Details of Region Project is Implemented–
Performance Assessment System (PAS) module for Urban Water Supply, Sanitation& Solid Waste Management inGujaratwhich covers all 162 municipalities and 8 municipal corporations. Database is to be gathered from all defined ULBs to rectify and analyze it.

Description of Project-
Performance Assessment System (PAS) module is organized to known the data of yearly record of Urban Water Supply, Sanitation & Solid Waste Management that are been carried out across Gujarat for 162 Municipal Councils and 8 Municipal Corporation.The project deals with Performance Assessment of urban local bodies for the states of Gujarat. Performance assessment helps the ULB to identify areas of well performing and poorly performing areas in the three sectors.AIILSG collected information from all the ULBs of Gujarat through conducting workshops. Analysis of collected data and information was also done by AIILSG. After this the State Profile gives an overall service delivery performance of the ULBs with respect to their class types, along with comparisons with other state's ULBs to known how good services are provided. The Project cost is of 17 Lac for particular Gujarat State.

Project objectives are aligned with the objectives of Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) and 14th Finance Commission Grant. The key objectives of the project are as following: -

• Database management and help the authority in the implementation of the work related to sanitation
• Elimination of open defecation,
• To collect information of all ULB for Swachh Bharat Mission,
• Generate awareness about sanitation and its usage with appropriate management.
• To collect data of Supply water for all ULBs
• To collect data of Solid Waste Management for each ULBs
• The City Profile is essentially ULB centric, which gives in detail the various service delivery aspects of the city, and also a comparative outlook with other class cities, project cities, and state cities
