Surat municipal Council assigned AIILSG work for preparation of Techno-commercial projects for processing of MSW and Preparation of Efficiency improvement report as well as studies the existing segregation activity carried out by SMC and keeping in the mind future improvements in segregation activity, decide capacity of Centralized processing plant which shall be capable enough For variation in the waste collection.

Details of Region Project is Implemented–
The Projects area is within the Municipal areas of Surat City, this project is one of such initiative by SMC to provide efficient Solid waste Management service as it plans to treat 100% of Municipal Solid waste generated within its administration area.

Description of Project-
AIILSG was awarded work related to Solid Waste Management in Suratcityfor Preparing Techno Commercial Feasibility Report in context to the Existing work in progress for MSW Treatment and Disposal in Surat City and Providing Suggestion Report of Work to be conducted in upcoming, 5 Years and 10 Years Projection, for 100% Processing of MSW Generated in Surat City, as per SWM Rules 2016 from Surat Municipal Corporation

Following are the work activities conducted by AIILSG.

• List out the activities conducted by SMC for processing of MSW and preparation of Efficiency improvement report
• Study of existing segregation activity carried out by Surat Municipal Corporation and keeping in the mind future improvements in segregation activity, decide capacity of Centralized processing plant which shall be capable enough for variation in the waste collection.
• Provided Suggestion Report for Establishing the Waste Processing Plant for 100% Waste processing considering the Projection of 10 to 15 years.
• Detailed Financial Analysis of existing 600 TPD Centralized waste processing plant located at Khajod final Disposal site including capital and Opex aspects.
• Prepare Techno-Commercial Report for given work and submitted it successfully
